Project Objective
The project aimed to supply and rectify fire alarm and fire fighting systems to ensure optimal functionality and compliance with fire safety regulations, while also providing ongoing maintenance services for fire alarm, fire fighting, and fire suppression systems across various Qatar Airways facilities. Additionally, the project involved the installation and maintenance of kitchen hood fire suppression systems in kitchens and food service areas to enhance fire protection, all while ensuring compliance with both local and international safety standards and fire protection regulations.
Scope of Work
The project focused on the supply, rectification, and maintenance of fire safety systems at various Qatar Airways facilities. This included the installation and servicing of fire alarm systems, firefighting systems, fire suppression systems, and kitchen hood suppression systems. The work involved:
- Fire Alarm Systems: Supply and installation of smoke and heat detectors, call points, and alarms. Rectification of existing issues like faulty wiring or malfunctioning components.
- Fire Fighting Systems: Installation and rectification of extinguishers, hoses, and hydrants, ensuring full functionality and integration with fire alarm systems.
- Fire Suppression Systems: Installation and maintenance of suppression systems (CO2, FM200, wet chemical) in high-risk areas, ensuring their optimal performance.
- Kitchen Hood Suppression Systems: Installation and rectification of suppression systems for kitchens, including nozzle maintenance and system readiness checks.
- Maintenance and Testing: Regular inspections, testing, and servicing across all facilities, with monthly/quarterly reports detailing any issues and corrective actions.
